The annual needs assessment is a major activity of the Miami-Dade HIV/AIDS Partnership
and a HRSA requirement for Part A planning councils.
The Partnership’s Care
and Treatment Committee dedicates several weeks to the study and review of data to assure
a comprehensive assessment of the needs of Miami-Dade County residents living
with and at risk for HIV/AIDS.
Decisions made during the needs assessment meetings drive the provision of services and distribution of funds for the next Ryan White Part A Program fiscal year.
